Mixing and Mingling
As well as all the sub groups we also like to go for coffee (or tea) or a glass of wine. We enjoy going out and trying new restaurants as well as old favourites.
We attend events hosted by the Bucks Federation and by National.
When the world opens up again there will be theatre trips, cinema and museum trips. You can come to all of them or none of them. It is your W.I. and what you will get is lots of new friends.
Craft Club
The Craft Club has a wide and varying mix of crafts, recently we have made:

Patchwork
We meet once a month on Zoom and make a Patchwork Block. When we have made 12 blocks we will sew them together to make a quilt. All levels of ability welcome from beginners to advanced.
This project was started during lockdown and we have done a snowflake, a star, a rabbit, Christmas Bauble and a tulip. Catch up sessions are available to anyone that wants to join in.
Gardening
We design, plant and maintain the Village Triangle. We also make and decorate the 'Triangle' on:
Valentines Day - with Green Hearts to highlight the 'Show the Love' campaign
Easter - With rabbits and eggs
Halloween - All things ghostly
Remembrance Day - with a cascade of poppies
Christmas - Sparkles and Fun

Walking Netball
We meet once every two weeks in the scout hall if the weather is bad but mostly in Westwood Park.  We are still at training stage but hope to start playing matches soon. Everyone is welcome to come and join in and is open to other WI members and non members
Story Sack
Story Sack is very popular with local schools and is a great aid for the younger children to learn to read through play.
We make all the characters of a chosen book, they are knitted, sewn, crafted, also the scenery backgrounds, dressing up and lots of extras are all made and they are all put in a big bag (sack)Â
This one is Georges Marvellous Medicine by Roald Dahl. Currently we are making 'The Smartest Giant in Town'. We have also done Room on the Broom, Punch and Judy and lots lots more.
Quiz Team
On the first Thursday of the month we go to The White Lion pub for their pub quiz. It isn't too serious and we always have a good laugh
Book Club
The book club meet every six weeks to chat about the current read and to discuss other books they are reading
Afternoon Tea Club
Once a month we try out 'Afternoon Tea' at a local venue. You can come every month or just now and again, it is always lovely to spend time with lovely ladies
